i haven’t forgotten about my blog, i swear. i just haven’t had the time to update it. in any case, a few weeks back dom and i made the most wonderful, simplest pizza margherita. i went a bit heavy on the sauce, but it was otherwise delicious:

i know asparagus isn’t exactly the most popular vegetable, but i love it. and the more tender, the better. so imagine my delight when i cooked a dish that catered perfectly to my idea of well-prepared asparagus:
orzo risotto with asparagus and shrimp

my sister came to stay with me over the weekend, and my parents dropped by on saturday as well. all the visiting made a good excuse for lots of eating out, and that we did. in between meals, we did a little bit of shopping.
