i’ve been so incredibly busy lately that i’ve completely neglected my blog. i hardly know where to begin.

i’ve been craving seafood a lot lately, and although i don’t have a passion for sandwiches like everyone else it seems, i’ve been making them a lot more than usual: what i cooked last week:

i don’t cook dishes from the americas (both north and south) very often, not because i don’t like the cuisine, but rather because my few attempts haven’t turned out nearly as successful as my more eastern-oriented efforts.

lately i’ve been on a dumpling kick. dumplings are one of the world’s greatest gastronomical innovations. the idea of mixing in a number of complementary textures and flavors in one cute little pouch and cooking them in a myriad of methods? ingenious, i’d say.
